Alcinda Lee

Research Lead

Area: Worldwide

Alcinda is the Research Lead at intO. She has expertise in designing research methods and in managing teams for projects that are highly-collaborative, complex and worldwide in scope. She challenges the boundaries of design-led research throughout the world. Her progressive business-thinking is applied to conducting insights sprints, co-creative workshops and cultural-immersion experiences, drawing upon her experience of mixed-method research projects. Alcinda also leads our participant recruitment, remote-working set-up and communication processes.

Curious to explore the management methods and models for social enterprise, Alcinda applies her fascination to entrepreneurial opportunities that focus upon serving communities of everyday people. She aspires to bring the social injustice of human-trafficking to an end, discovering ways of detecting effectively people’s emotions within high-risk environments. Participating in UK social entrepreneurship groups, Alcinda is also active in developing her network of social innovators linked with Design Research, including the Service Design Network in Belgium.

Graduating with a Business Diploma in Singapore, Alcinda then gained a BA qualification in Communications from the London College of Fashion, and an MA in Innovation Management from Central Saint Martins. She has lived in Singapore and is based currently in the UK. She speaks English and Chinese.
