Maya Azumi

Maya specialises in design research and product design.

With experience as a product designer in the UK and Japan, Maya has worked with international clients for new product development and design strategy projects. In her creative practice, Maya adopts an ethnographic approach, which allows her to identify new people-focused opportunities. On a social level, Maya has a growing concern about the emotional impact upon children in Japan, caused by social divides and economic disparities.

She has a BA in Business Administration from Kobe University, a BA in Product Design from Central Saint Martins, and has also received a D&AD award for her design projects. Maya has lived in the UK and is now based in Japan. She speaks Japanese and English.
