Maya specialises in design research, industrial design and photography.

She brings her multicultural expertise, from having lived in different countries and cities, to her role as a design researcher. Her experiences include working as an Interdisciplinary Designer for IHCD, and a Research Assistant for Pratt Social Sciences and Cultural Studies. Maya now adopts storytelling techniques to implement cultural research into design processes.

She has a BA in Architecture from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, an MA in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, and has completed a Global Innovation Design course at the Royal College of Art. Maya has previously lived in the UK, USA and Japan, and is now based between India and Canada. She speaks English and Tamil.
