Nahid specialises in socio-politcal research within gender equality, sexual and reproductive health-rights in a conservative society.

Having an extensive background in the social-development sector, Nahid held a Senior Officer role at Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC). She works currently towards the empowerment and inclusivity of women in Bangladesh, advocating the end of sexual harassment and early child marriages. Nahid is a Gender Officer for the Solidaridad Network, and also a co-researcher and writer for a UK grant-funded research project about the lives of adolescent girls in Bangladesh.

Nahid has gained an MA qualification in Social Sciences from the University of Dhaka and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Planning. She is based currently in Bangladesh. She speaks English and Bangla.
