Nahid specialises in socio-political research within gender equality, sexual and reproductive health-rights in a conservative society.

With an extensive background in the social-development sector, Nahid held a Senior Officer role at Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC). She is currently working towards the empowerment and inclusivity of women in Bangladesh, advocating for the end of sexual harassment and early child marriages. Nahid is a Gender Officer for the Solidaridad Network, and also a co-researcher and writer for a UK grant-funded research project about the lives of adolescent girls in Bangladesh.

Nahid has an MA in Social Sciences from the University of Dhaka, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Planning. She is based in Bangladesh, and speaks English and Bangla.
