Omer Asim

Omer specialises in design research and visual communication.

He works as the Lead Graphic Designer for Burmester Audiosysteme in Berlin, and his ambition is to induce a shift in an elitist mindset within conservative societies, and this influences his commitment to working on social-impact projects. An example of this was his co-creation of a brand-identity for the first pepper-spray in Pakistan, to raise awareness of gender violence and self-defence. Omer is also passionate about music, and produces experimental music with his band. 

He has a BA in Communication Design from Karachi University, and an MA in Integrated Design from Hochschule Anhalt University. Omer is living between Germany and Pakistan. He speaks Urdu, English and German.
