Area: Pakistan

Omer specialises in design research, visual communication and experimental music.

Having worked for ‘The Express Tribune’ newspaper in Pakistan, Omer’s professional experience now includes working as the Lead Graphic Designer for Burmester Audiosysteme in Berlin. His ambition to induce a shift in an elitist mindset within conservative societies, influences his commitment to working on social-impact projects. One example has been his work to co-create a brand-identity for the first pepper-spray in Pakistan, to raise awareness of gender violence and self-defence. In addition, he produces music experimentally with his band, whose members live in many different cities.

Omer has gained a BA qualification in Communication Design from Karachi University, and an MA in Integrated Design from Hochschule Anhalt University. He is based currently in Germany and Pakistan. He speaks Urdu, English, and German.
