Leslie Nooteboom

Leslie is a specialist in Artificial Intelligence research, engineering design and visual programming.

Recently, Leslie founded an AI start-up company, Humanising Autonomy, which enables self-driving cars to understand pedestrian behaviour. In addition, He has participated successfully in design competitions, and has been publishing articles in ‘Fast Company’ and ‘New Scientist’, amongst others. Leslie has particular interest in researching the effects of societal and ecological design, believing the application of Circular Economy principles are essential, to achieve sustainable environmental benefits.

Leslie has a BSc qualification in Industrial Design from Delft University of Technology, and an MA
in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art. He has lived in Belgium, Sweden, Japan, Australia and the USA, and is based currently in the UK and the Netherlands. He speaks Dutch, English, French and Swedish.
